Quick answers

What version of macOS do I need?

Float Translator requires macOS 15 or later.

How do I change a keyboard shortcut?

Open Float Translator from the menu bar, choose Settings, and open the Keyboard Shortcuts section. You can record a new shortcut or restore the default.

Why does text selection translation need Accessibility permission?

macOS requires Accessibility permission before Float Translator can read the text you currently have selected in another app. If access is missing, the app shows a permission guide with a direct link to the correct System Settings page.

Why does screenshot translation need Screen Recording permission?

The permission allows Float Translator to capture only the screen region you choose. Text recognition runs through Apple Vision after you confirm the selection. Cancelling the capture does not use a free OCR trial.

Why is there no dictionary result for a word?

Dictionary mode uses the dictionaries installed and enabled on your Mac. Open the macOS Dictionary app settings to check which dictionaries are available for the language you need.

Where is my translation history stored?

Your translation history is stored locally on your Mac.
